Army Training Centre (ATC) Pirbright is about 30 miles west of London, close to the towns of Aldershot and Guildford. ATC Pirbright delivers the 13-week training course known as the Common Military Syllabus Future Soldier (CMS FS). This course is designed to develop essential military skills, foster mental and physical resilience, and instill the Army’s core values and standards.
In 2024, ATC Pirbright launched its new Soldier Academy as part of its efforts to modernize and prepare soldiers for future technology-driven environments. A standout feature of this development was the construction of a 52-seater cinema hall within the training facility. For the 52-seater cinema hall, Akhter installed a 4m wide x 2m high 500 Series LED video wall, featuring a stunning 176-inch diagonal display. The cinema hall is equipped with a state-of-the-art 7.1 Dolby surround sound system, delivering rich, multidimensional audio that enhances the cinematic experience. This advanced sound system also ensures crystal-clear audio for instructional videos and presentations, making it a versatile tool for both entertainment and training purposes.
The video wall offers three input sources for movie content—4K Blu-ray Media Player, Apple TV, and Google TV—along with a dedicated input faceplate (HDMI and Type-C) for presentations within the hall. Users can seamlessly control, switch, and preview inputs from the control room panel, ensuring everything is set up perfectly before being displayed on the main screen.
